THURSDAYS now are host to a lovely bunch of Silver Surfers who are learning all about the joys of using a computer and the internet!

We offer help and advice with email, skype, online shopping, searching for information online, accessing health websites such as NHS, registering to vote, contacting your local council, booking holidays and lots more!

Fancy coming along? OR do you have a grandparent, mum, dad, friend, cousin, neighbour…etc etc that you think could use help learning to use a computer? Well send them down to us!! It is absolutely FREE OF CHARGE! all ages and abilities welcome.

GET INTO EMPLOYMENT IN NUNEATON!

From April 2012 the NWMRC in association with UK Online and Job Centre Plus, became Nuneaton’s only ‘INTO EMPLOYMENT’ CentreWe are offering Unemployed Men and Women a place to come and access the internet FREE OF CHARGE, type and print CV’s or ask advice on how to write one. Search for jobs online and access information on any benefits you may be entitled to. We also offer you a place to boost your qualifications by completing online courses or furthering your education with us. We are open to men and women in Nuneaton and Bedworth every Tuesday between 9.30 and 3pm and Thursdays between 9.30 and 3pm at our Centre on Deacon St Nuneaton or Bedworth Library between 9.30 and 12.30 every Wednesday.

Help Your Community, Volunteer Today!

Volunteering is not only an enjoyable way to help your community, it has it’s rewards too. Volunteering at our Centre can open your career opportunities by not only looking great on your CV but you could be completing your qualification and gaining work experience while you are Volunteering with us.

Fancy completing an NVQ in Business and Admin, getting your work experience while your completing it and then finding the job you were looking for? Or would you like to offer career support and help out in IT classes while working on an NVQ in Advice and Guidance which you can take with you into a number of career opportunities? Well why not give us a call?
If you are currently unemployed this could be the boost you need to get back into work. If you have time to spare then give an hour or two a week to helping a local charity. We Need You, Volunteers!

Here at NWMRC we are always looking for new, enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Volunteers. It doesn’t matter what your skills are, there is sure to be a place for you among our team. We can also offer you training to help you gain the qualifications you need to continue your career after Volunteering and provide references for your future employers too. Volunteering is also a great way to boost your CV and beat the competition for that dream job of yours!

Could you spare 2 hours per week to help a local charity while at the same time, meet new people, gain qualifications and most of all, have fun!?!

We are currently looking for people to work with us in our ESOL classes, helping adults who have moved to the UK and want to improve their English. We offer Beginners and Advanced classes. We currently cater for women from Nepal, India, Poland and Thailand. If you could assist in one of these classes please get in touch as we would love to hear from you!

Happy New Year for 2012!

 
Happy New Year and a BIG welcome back to all of our Learners. We hope you had a lovely Christmas and didn’t over indulge on the mince pies too much ;)  We are hoping 2012 will bring a lot of new people to NWMRC and we are hoping to start plenty of new people get online and learn how to use a computer with us.
 
During 2012 we are hoping to bring you exciting new courses, training and events as well as providing our ESOL and IT Training as usual.
 
To kick off 2012 we are offering you a new Venue to start your online journey. You can now join us at Nuneaton Library on Wednesdays from 1-3pm to learn how to use a computer and the internet! Everyone is welcome, please contact us on 02476 348522 to book a place!
 
 

Give An Hour

Nuneaton Women’s Resource Centre would like to invite you to Spend An Hour with us on the 27th October between 10am and 3pm and learn how to use a computer and the internet.

The internet lets you talk with friends and family for free, anywhere in the world! You can send emails, chat face to face or keep family up to date with your activities via a blog. Whatever your passion or hobby, the internet can help you find out more about it and even connect you with like minded people.

You can research your family history or bag a bargain on an online auction site. There is so much you can learn to do, and we’re here to show you how!

The Nuneaton Women’s Resource Centre delivers free training to Men and Women in Nuneaton and Bedworth in a safe and friendly environment. Why not get in touch to find our more or drop in on the 27th and spend an hour with us finding out what you can do online!

Back to School….ESOL classes are starting soon!

We hope you are all enjoying your time off for the summer. Just a quick note to those of you who may want to join or may know a woman who would like to join an English course – Our Initial Assessments will be starting on 2nd September to divide the classes into two groups, beginners and advanced. The cost per term is £20 which is payable on the 2nd September or on the first day of term, any payments made after that will be £25.
